Not looking for anything trendy, and would actually prefer names that are more timeless/historic but unique. Would love to hear your combos! Boys and girls.

Which of these unusal baby names do you like?
I'm considering Jagger, Roman, or Vance for a boy.
Raylin or Vanna for a girl.
Which of these unusal baby names do you like?
JAGGER, i love that name! It sounds very modern too.
Raylin is cute too. I have a friend that named her baby girl Rylin, she made it up herself.
Reply:Raylin for a girl - that is so cool! My cousins name is Ronin. But I confess I don't really like Jagger. Roman is cool, though
Reply:i like the name roman, and raylin
Reply:Roman for a boy and Raylin for a girl. When I hear the name Vanna, I think of Vanna White.
Reply:roman or vanna
Reply:Roman is my favorite because you can use Rome as a nickname. I also like Vance. I like Vanna over Raylin, but I think that they are both pretty names.
Reply:how about Vada / Veda / Vaeda for a girl
for a boy Roman, or Ramon, Vance is nice too
Reply:I think Raylin is growing on me! It's nice!
Vanna - sorry not my style.
Roman is the best. Then Vance. Not Jagger.
Reply:Vance maybe but others i do not like.Vanna after Vanna White?

Raylin

Reply:Out of all these names I like Roman, I don't like any of the other names.
Reply:roman!!!
and i like raylin too.
Reply:Well, Jaeger is actually a common last name in Scandinavia, but quite a few people use it here now (pronounced Jay gar). Jagger doesn't sound particularly nice. Roman doesn't suit me, but I like Vance.
I like Vanna for a girl and Raye Lynn (separate name) also. You could use your spelling, I just don't like it as much.
Reply:Hey, I like Raylin it's different! Roman with an 'e' I like as well
eg: Romen
Good Luck...
Reply:Raylin is really cute Romen for a boy is cute to
Reply:I like them all... just wait until the baby is born and you'll just know which one fits best... we were gonna name our son Rezner or Vincent and Lola if a girl, and when he was born we took one look at his face, and seeing these seemingly wise old eyes looking back at us, we named him Vincent and never regretted it! I really like Vance and Roman best.
Reply:I like Roman alot for a boy. For a girl I like Raylin, I think its a really pretty name. Vanna is okay but I just think of Vanna White.
Reply:Roman is a very strong name for a boy. Though I do prefer Ronan
Not too sure about the girls name. Not Vanna (too easy to be teased because it only needs two letters to make it very female if you get my drift).
Reply:Roman for a boy.
Raylin for a girl.
A friend of mine has a daughter named Railyn Rae Rusik. Talk about a tongue twister!
Reply:i like Vance and Raylin
Reply:I like Jagger.
Reply:Jagger/Jaeger for a girl
Roman for a boy

What are some good baby names?
My friend and I are arguing about whether old names like Arthur, Charlotte , and Eleanor are better/prettier then names new names like Indigo, Hazel, and Mackenzie. Which ones are better?
What are some good baby names?
Actually, Hazel is an old name...
it seems these days, what is old is new again.
But there are a lot of modern names, like Indigo an Mackenzie being invented.
I think, that since old things come back into style again and again, they are more interesting than names that are "one hit wonders" or very trendy.
But better or prettier, I don't know.
Reply:THE OLD ONES AR BETTER!! well compared to the new ones you gave. i like the names that arent super old but not crazy weird. my favorites are (for girls) meredith, eliza, caroline, katherine, mary, elizabeth (plus, that has a lot of nicknames built in) i HATE color names (indigo makes me think of grapes and crayons and hazel of kelly clarksons song) and weirdo names like apple and stuff. for boys the really old names are good, like luke, charlie, john, patrick, james, matthew. mackenzie just isnt pretty. yes, the old ones are better!!
Reply:I honestly adore the old names! So creative, as a matter of fact.. I'm having a baby in 6 months and this question just supplied me with the name of my upcoming newborn, (which will be Eleanor) The new names are not original at all, I'm so sick of hearing those names, I want to revive the past!!
Kudos to your friend, and tell him/her thanks for naming my baby!!
Reply:i like indigo,hazel %26amp;%26amp; makcenzie
but other names i like are Savannah, Taylor, Marie, Malissa, Tashanti, Makel, Neveen, Asia, %26amp; Charidy...those names are so cute to me
Reply:I loooooove new ones. i like Gianna, Haley, and Hilary but the worst name ever is Maria. I hate that name so badly it is one of the worst. Who in the f***ing world would name their kid that!!!!!!!!!!! so yeah i would probably say new though! hope it helps!
Reply:Personally, I hate most common names.... I prefer something unique, something different than anyone else has! Of all you mentioned, Mackenzie is the only one I like but I wouldn't name my child that because its used enough!
Reply:In America, we are allowed the freedom to have our own choices. To each his own....
Indigo is a color, so is Hazel, Rose, and Pearl.
Reply:Hazel I guess.....I don't like any of the first ones. or Mackezie. They are so common. But I also don't agree with names like Apple or Seven. Hahaha. My favorite baby name is Zara.
Reply:I like old and new names.
Old: Emily, Rose, Marie.
New: Sky, Emiko, Ruby.
I like a balance e.g. Ruby Marie.
Reply:i like eleanor ,but i also like mackenzie
i think it just depends on the person
Reply:newer names are more prettier i think beacuse the other ones make me think of a young proper lady in a dress forced to act grown up when shes a kid. same thing w/ boys names.
Reply:well i like both. and dont think one is better than the other. i love charlotte and arthur but i love names like mckenzie and brady/brody.
love em both!!!!!!!
Reply:i like the new baby names but is the baby gone be white or black or mixed and i can tell you sum pretty names
Reply:I like the name Erika. And the name Hailey. My best friends name is Kyrie, and her twin's name is Kailyn. I like Kyrie the best.Kyrie-(k-ear-ie)
Reply:I love Charlotte %26amp; Eleanor!
Reply:I like the newer names better.
Reply:I like new baby names better
Reply:I like new baby names
Reply:well i like the name Remi (rem-ee) sounds like demi but with an R instead of a D! :D
Reply:I like a bit of both.

Why do some people obsess about their pets and give them "baby names" or worse? Doting on the pets?
Talking about them a lot? Do you think maybe they are fulfilling a need to have children by treating their pets like children? Or they're just thrilled to have someone love them unconditionally?
Why do some people obsess about their pets and give them "baby names" or worse? Doting on the pets?
maybe there kids look like the pets?lol xxx
Reply:Both. Pets love and want to be loved unconditionally. They don't talk back, argue, spend money, etc. like humans can.
Reply:I think that people do get pets as a substitute for people. Pets are very therapeutic.
I know it makes a big diffeence for me to have my little dog at home while my children and husband are at work.
Then my husband goes to school and I still have her to keep me company and fight off stress from 2-6 teenage boys in my house after school.
Reply:I don't why they do it, but it's scary sometimes...
Reply:both really. It's in our nature to love and to want love. If there are no kids to fill that gap then pets often fill it.
Reply:I think the pets fill a void that some people have. Pets don't usually talk back and will love you no matter what kind of day they are having.
Reply:i always wondered the same thing. i have a dog and two cats, i love them, and take care of them...however, they are not my children and i do not obsess about them. my sister has dogs that she treats like people. she caters to their every need, spends thousands on vet bills, cooks (yes cooks!) them special meals and these dogs are a nuisance when i go to visit her. i can't stand a dog jumping and slobbering on me. she does all this for her dogs, yet she has a son she hasn't spoke to in years and grandchildren she barely acknowledges! i always thought people and children especially were more important than children!
Reply:Both could be true
Reply:I used to wonder the same thing. I could not see getting attached to an animal much less taking to a vet and spending money on it! Then someone gave my husband and I a puppy. We didn't really want her, but she needed a home, and she really starting to grow on us. When she was about 2, I found out I could not have children. So you're probably right in my case. 1st she gave us unconditional love and then she "helped" fill a void. I didn't give her a baby name or obsess about her- but she really meant a lot to us.
Reply:Their pets will never fail a math test in school and lie about it.
Reply:I think some peo. do this bec. we are living in such transient and often lonely times. It is in our nature to love and be loved. A pet can help fulfill that need or fill in the gap. On the other hand, there really are peo. who connect with animals on a level that goes beyond need fulfillment. For these peo. their pets are truly their friends or family (familiars.)

What Are Some Good Baby names for Twin girls/Girls/Boys?
I am planning on having twins and i need some advice on the names I love the names:
Twins:
Cara and Hannah
Leah and Alexis
Girls:
Leah
Alexis
Clarissa
Stephanie
Holly
Boys:
Aiden
Liam
What Are Some Good Baby names for Twin girls/Girls/Boys?
I'm guessing you watch Jon %26amp; Kate Plus 8 since Cara, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, and Aiden are all names from the show! Please don't name your multiples after tv multiples!! I do like the name Cara a lot though ( I think I prefer the spelling Kara though but both are pretty). I LOVE the name Holly!! Stephanie is cute and although it is a bit 80s it is no longer overly-popular which is nice! Liam is also cute but I prefer it as a nickname to William (which I Love).
I would go with Cara and Hannah for twins, although I would prefer Cara and Alexis. And I like Holly the best for a girl, with Stephanie second. I don't like Clarissa at all - it sounds like an evil stepmother/witch name or something! And go with Liam/William for a boy! I would personally do Holly and Cara for twins!
