Reply:I think they usually choose a name that is on the top 10 most popular list--a lot of Aiden's, Ethan's, Lilly's, Ashley's, Addison's. But then there are also a lot that choose celebrity names, as well as celebrity baby names because that is the the stuff that they are into at the time. As a teen, I probably would have had a tough time deciding between Shiloh and Reese for girls and between Ryder and Maddox for boys. I bet you can guess where those came from. (not that they are bad names) A lot of it has to do with their geographical location, their family situation, ethnic background, peer groups, school/work/home life, hobbies, etc.

Reply:I actually love the name Aiden and have for about 15 years. But because it's become sooooo incredibly popular, I wouldn't name my child it. Not faulting the others that like it; I just don't want to have a child that has 5 other kids in the class with the same name or rhyming with his name.





Many of the teens that I see posting on here, asking about baby names, tend to be choosing the very common/popular ones. The teens I work with would never pick any of those names. So I think it really depends who you're thinking about, their demographics, and whether you're referring to the people on here :)

Although, the only teen mom (she is 17) that i know named her son Robert Benjamin and calls him Benjy. I'm not big on Benjy, but I think that the full name is wonderful.

Heidi, it makes think of spoiled cheese, little orphan girls, and yodeling.
Reply:My 17-year-old sister-in-law named her baby Alexander Joseph which I find to be very normal and quite cute. Other than that, I don't know any teenagers that have had children so I guess I can't really comment on common names that are given to their children.

Reply:I named my daughter Priscilla and my son Anthony. I was 16 when I had my daughter and 19 when I had my son.
