It would be especially great if the names were a bit more unique than the Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Mary ones.
Are there any girl names that start with the letter S?
Thanks!

i'm pretty sure these are all Biblical...but a few might just be Hebrew and not actually in the Bible, so maybe double check the ones you love.
Reply:Well, if you want a girl name that's unique and starts with S, you could go with Sari...it was Sara's name before God changed it. Or Saphira...Other cool names wouldAnaniasy be Annanias, Aaron, or Eve. I found a couple good baby name websites that you could check out...The first one is all unusual names, the second is just bible baby names, and the third is just bible names. I hope it helps!
Reply:Both of children are named with Biblical names. My daughter's name is Sarah. :)
For our next baby, we're picking between Aaron or Leah. There are lots of Biblical names, some of which are pretty mainstream that I would never guess would come from the Bible.
There are some cool baby naming websites out there that list all kinds of names, and their meanings.
SOme names I like from the Bible are Jason, Ruth, Naomi, Elizabeth, Paul, Peter and Philip. I also love the name Tirzah even though it is a tad unusual. Miriam is pretty, too - both Tirzah and Miriam were characters in the movie Ben Hur with Charlton Heston. :)
Reply:I have always been a fan of Seraphina...it was an order of angels. Sera for short. Elijah was a Hebrew prophet, I am always a huge fan of Noah.
However there are several sites you can go to for biblical names specifically, www.behindthename.com is a good one, www.biblicalbabyname, babynamesgarden.com
Good Luck and God Bless
Reply:When we have a son we hope to name him Malachi. My brother took Isaiah and Jesus and named his son Jesiah instead of Josiah. My daughter's name is Anaya which is technically a guy's name in the Bible (Anaiah was Ezra's priest). I also have another nephew named Titus and some friend's named their sons Silas and Ezra. My family is FULL of biblical names:
Samuel, Elijah, Isaiah, Jared, Steven, Jeremiah, Susanna, Naomi, Anna, Ruth, Michael
S girl names: Sarai, Selah, Samariah, Sapphira, Saron, Serah, Salome', Sherah, Shelomi, Shiloh, Sia, Shia
Hope this was helpful! xx
