I heard of a girl named Latrine, also met a girl named Princess and a man named Baby. Apple, Sky, Kennidy, Miekenzie, Ashlar.... People pick WEIRD names. Some Black people also pick odd names like Starisha, Tymeesha, LaDarius, What are some funny names and stories behind them?

I'm not lying. She said she had to call the mom's name and ask her how to pronounce it. The little girl is only 3 so imagine what its gonna be like when she starts school. Poor baby!
Reply:I think the strangest name that I have ever heard is Eventus. It was the name of a guy I worked with a few years ago. He went by the name Vince, but still I thought it was a very strange name. Stranger than that was the fact that he was named after his dad!!! So there were 2 men with the name Eventus.
Reply:Sihphyllis - Not pronounced like the sexually transmitted disease. The stress is placed on "phy". Also Gonorya, not like the sexually transmitted disease, but with the stress on "nor". Unbelievable, but true.

Reply:My friend just had a baby girl on Friday (Jan 19) and thankfully, their 3.5 year old daughter Kyra had the good sense to pick out the name Kayla, out of three possible choices being: Kayla, Onyx and Arwen. On the off chance that the ultrasound was inaccurate, the boy would have been Paxton.





I knew a girl in elementary school names Honey Lyn and worked with a lady named Precious.

My daughter goes to day care with a boy named "guy" and a girl named "scout." Sometimes, I think parents forget that their cute little babies will someday be adults.
