My friend is thinking about naming her baby girl Ki'ahlee Stroud ("poet from the beautiful place in the thicket"). and I'm thinking about naming my little girl Anjerone Morana.("goddess of winter, silence and death")
I also thought about Sigh Yoran (she sings with gentle breath) and Ze'eva Sigh (a wolfs panting breath) .
Tell me what you think of these choices, if you have any exotic examples please let me know.
What do you think about these baby names?
Anjerone Morana is the best one
Reply:To tell you the truth i can't pronounce a single one of the names on the list, except Sigh. I don't know if i personally like any of them, but that is because i can not say them. Good luck.
Reply:your friends name i like but the ones u picked i don't like, but using unique names is awesome, maybe i was not pernouncing the names correctly. the name ECHO is different but not cute.what about: marilee, fay, tama,ronica,nathynia,alethea,tawnee,doni... beverely, ivy, kayleigh, alina, lucila, Tigidankey, selene, destiny, haley, Devonte', kicia, aidan. ze'eva is good, good luck.
Reply:dont listen to all these people! those names are very pretty! i really like Ki'ahlee Stroud and out of the ones for your daughter i like Ze'eva Sigh....its very unique and when she grows up if she doesnt like it she can just shorten it to Eva! some other exotic names to think about :
Asheni [ah-sheh-nee] Angel. w (Cree)
Sybrant [sigh-brannt] Victorious Warrior. m (Dutch)
Makani [mah-kahn-nee] The Wind. m (Hawaiian)
Teman [teh-mihn] Friend. m (Indonesian)
Chimala [chee-mah-lah] Beauty. w (Ixil Maya)
Jadi [jah-dee] "Creation". (Malaysian)
Mirani [meer-rahn-nee] Beauty to Behold (to "See" beauty). w (Spanish)
and a couple of nice combos:
Calice Asheni - Flower Angel -
[kah-leess ah-shehn-nee]
Calice - Flower. (French)
Asheni - Angel. (Cree)
Lamora Miraca - The Miracle of Love -
[lah-mor-rah meer-rah-kah] (Middle English)
Lamora - 'La': "The" + 'Amor': "Love" = The Love.
Miraca - Miracle.
Reply:They're all good, it's impossible to choose. How about combining them and calling your little blighter Ki'ahlee Anjerone Sigh Sigh Yoran Stroud Ze'eva Morana?
Reply:If you live in the foreign country that has the language these names are in, then I think it's fine. Or if you're in the U.S. and these are Native American names and you live in a heavily Native American community, then I think it's fine.
Otherwise, PLEASE reconsider. The meanings of these names are beautiful, don't get me wrong. But the spelling and pronunciation of the names will give your kids trouble for their ENTIRE lives. I know you mean well for your kids, and I know you're going to think I'm boring, but I just never agreed with the idea of parents giving their kids names that no one will ever pronounce right without being corrected, no one will ever spell right without being corrected, and no one can tell if it's a male or female whose name they're calling or looking at. And finally, let's not forget that names like these will inevitably result in other kids teasing your kids. I was not a teaser, but I know how cruel some kids can be, because I was teased myself! Not for my name, but for other reasons.
Anyway, I think I've said way more than my 2 cents' worth, so I will be done now. :) I think I've made my point loud and clear.
Reply:I like these names
Gtrw"0ith Lynn
NNa-bata- Hyte Sue
Lappydappy Doo
Vitamina Noma Coma
All of these names mean " What the fig was my mother thinking???"
Reply:i think you should try some normal names...think about when your daughter is older...she's not going to want to be introduced as "sigh"
Reply:Try a normal name too. Its hard to be a CEO with the first name Sigh.
Reply:Your friend's name is cute, but your choices are horrible!
Reply:Are you ladies african or Arabic or Hindu?
If so, yes, I suppose those names would be okay.
If you live in the united states, you might want to be a little more considerate of your daughters' futures, and name them something that isn't hard to pronounce or spell. They will hate their names because government offices and teachers for the next 20 years will need help spelling it and pronouncing it.
Why would you want to name your daughter after "death"?
Any word that starts with "mor" is associated with either death or the color dark brown.
What ever happened to "Ann"?
Reply:They are too off the wall for me.
Plus the meanings are kinda creepy. I personally wouldn't want to be named after wolf breath or death.
Sorry!
Reply:unique and cute i like when there is actually a meaning behind a name
Reply:The best one is Sigh Yoran!!! I like the meaning and the name. The Sigh Yoran has a good meaning to it!!!!
Reply:Sigh Yoran is nice. I'm not real sure about the rest. I have a different name, and there was a lot of teasing when I was young and even as an adult I have repeat myself or just automatically spell it so there is no confusion. I like and appreciate it now, but as an 8-year-old, all I wanted was a name that everyone knew!
Reply:I love different names, but those are wacked and really stupid.
Reply:Your friends names are great LOVE THEM1 but your's kinda creeps me out. Who would name a child Morana(silence and death)???? That is horriable. Try Kimela (key-mill-ya) means "Butterfly" in Sioux.
Reply:I think they are all really out there. Think about the child as an adult, will the name still sound good?
Reply:Where did you come up with these names? Goddess of winter silence and death? Are you kidding? It sounds like a name that a Gothic high schooler who got pregnant would choose.
Reply:With a name like the ones you suggest, your baby will have a lifetime explaining where she got an unpronouncable name. She'll have to spell it a million times throughout her life. Many will ask, just what did your mother have against you ?
Remember, what seems clever and stylish now, will take on a different slant down the line.
Reply:all choices are awful
Reply:Beyond bizarre....Just atrocious !!
Reply:I like the fact that the names of people you admire, but they are difficult for me to sound out, and I have a degree in Communications. How do you think the babies will do on learning to spell their name, let alone how much trouble the public will have in the future spelling and pronouncing her name, for example, her graduation? Unique is good, but watch the apostrophe's in the names.
Reply:whatever happened to names like mary.
Reply:I say name your child whatever you want to! I'm naming my next daughter Scye Love, unless I have another set of twin girls which I will name them Summer Rayne and Wynter Storm!
Reply:I like Ze'eva Sigh...I just like names beginning with "Z" a lot. The meaning is also very pretty, wolves are beautiful and amazing creatures.
Reply:NOT TO PRUD ON YOU WANTING A NAME THAT IS DIFFERENT....BUT BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU CHOOSE.
YOUR NEW BABY'S CARRER FUTURE THRIVES ON HER NAME.
THE QUESTION IS, DO YOU WANT YOUR BABY TO WORK AT MC DONALDS FOR A LIFETIME OR BE AN EXECUTOR OVER A LARGE FIRM.
Reply:in my opinion i would combine the names:
------ Sigh Morana ------
this way you get a little of both and i love both those names especially put together.
hope this helps %26amp; Congradulations!
Reply:The one about death is a little unnerving but otherwise if they suit your culture I say go for it.
Reply:The names and their meanings are beautiful but would you like going through life with any of them. Kids on playgrounds are cruel so think about what your kid will have to go through before you decide.
Reply:NO NO NO NO NO!! for gods sake think about your child they have to live with the name you give them forever! or do you not get that just because you like a name doesnt mean you have to put it on your child give them a strong normal name and maybe use it as a midle name then your child has the choice if they wish to use it or not
i named my1st son McKenzie jordan (spelt it differently to most ppl)
2nd son Domonic reece(again changed the spelling of dominic)
3rd woohoo a girl finally called her Isabelle jade (again chaning the spelling ) OH! by the way yeah im from the uk lol
