Thinking of names for babies.
not really strange names, but not
ones that you hear very often either.
Both boys and girls would be helpful.

Reply:Maybe you try something other than euro centric names. A large amount suggested so far are. They sound old and redundant to me.Nothing outrageous that he/she won't be able to say or write, but different enough to be unique.
Reply:There are so many I can't even begin to name. What I like to do is go to the social security administration website and look at the top 1000 most popular name, and start from the bottom up :). Here's the link: http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames....

I like classic names. I hate all those stupid made up names kids have these days. Always picture your child as an adult with the same name. Cody is NOT an adult's name. Pisses me off everytime I hear it.
**PLEASE DO NOT NAME YOUR CHILD "FLOUNDER", THAT LADY IS OUT OF HER MIND!!!

You might also try perusing the lower end of the SSA's top 1000 (but beware of simple misspellings of popular names LOL), or even their listings of the most common names from the 1880s, 1930s, etc. http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/babyn...
Hope that helps! ;)

Reply:People always want unique names...don't give yourself an ulcer...they can always change the name when they turn 18...find a name that has a good meaning behind it...family name, means something in you religion, or means something in the language or your ancestors. A baby name is alot like love....it can come in many forms but its the meaning that counts.
Reply:girl=adalade, gracey, patrisha, maddiline, timmy, apple, maple... can't think of any other ones.
guys: blume, stuart, zach-or-i-ah(i tottaly butcherd that name srry) dage... thats all i can think of...
