Why do people suggest baby names unsolicited?

When there is a list of names "which do you like best" why do people add to them. Obviously the mother and father have narrowed it down and want help with a decision. Why do people feel compelled to give alternatives instead of just answering the question?

i agree they should take the directions and pick the name they like best or not answer xD
Reply:Yeah, that's so dumb. It's especially annoying when the parent has a list of unique, interesting names, and people say things like "Well, those are okay, but how about you name them Ashley?" Like, how about shut up? Haha. But yeah, I agree with you.
Reply:Because people feel the need to say "Your opinions suck, let me force mine upon you," instead of just not answering.

especially the ones that post a gigantic list of names all in alphabetical order.
Reply:Why does one feel compelled to ask if they've already made up their minds? If people don't want to get feedback, why ask on a public board?
